Here is a picture of Maggie the fox in her size 0 Fleece Lined Harness - it fits perfectly! Our main problem with her was that she is small – but very strong. “Normal” dog harnesses that fitted were not strong enough to cope with her strength. Bigger, stronger ones were too big. She broke several, until we discovered yours. If you are asked to fit other foxes, bear in mind that Maggie is a vixen – dog foxes are bigger. But the girth strap needs to be tight – or the fox can get out.

We got her as a tiny 4 week old cub. She was hiding under a hedge in Middlesbrough, being attacked by crows. She was covered in ticks, had ring worm and roundworm, and was in bad shape. We had cared for her a few weeks when she had an accident in her dog crate (bedroom) and broke a front leg. It needed a metal plate to fix it. By the time she was better, she was far too tame to release, so she will be staying. She is now about 8 months old. She had had her puppy vaccinations, and will soon be spayed, as we do not want to attract dog foxes into a farming area. (Posted on 14/11/2011)

Have a look at a map of the UK. At the very, very top there is a small island called Unst. During the summer Poppy Chihuahua and I visited the last restaurant in Britain...as north as you can get: Saxa Vord on Unst. There, in the cafe, is a photograph of two little Chihuahuas wearing your harnesses.

I happened to meet those little "Chis" and found out that the harnesses came from the main island of Shetland, from the vets at Scalloway. Two ferries later and my Pops was sporting a beautiful flourescent yellow one. Superb!

Just to let you know I ordered my puppy's harness online last Wednesday whilst on holiday in Devon and when I got home on Saturday it had already arrived - despite the bank holiday ! Fabulous service.

I have put it on its smallest setting and can get away with using it (it may be a little bit still but not by much).

My puppy is a 5 month old Toy Poodle x Bichon Frise.

I bought 2 of these harness for my Yorkies. They are the best harnesses and comfortable and pretty they have ever had and worn - purple for my girl and red for my boy. Now looking for another one for my other boy. All my yorkies are the smaller type and fitted well so I had to leave a comment for other dog owners. (Posted on 11/07/2010)
