Product Description
I am very impressed with these natural rubber toys with faux fur tails.
Firstly, when I squeezed the rubber heart it was obvious that the large squeaker inside it was actually built inside the toy, rather than a tiny squeaker tube at the top that so many dogs remove in the blink of an eye. On the contrary.... these squeakers are so good that they make a variety of different noises as the toy is pushed and let out. My dogs loved them - and so did I as the squeak is quite subtle and not too high a pitch, nor too loud to annoy your family and neighbours!
Another thing I liked about these toys is the tiny rubber nobbles either side of the heart which gently massage the dog's mouth, which I am sure the spaniels and retrievers will particularly enjoy, but also other breeds as well.
I was quite sceptical about how well the "fur" tails were attached to the toy so I gave one to my "demolition tester dog" to test drive. True to form she set to work to gnaw straight through the fabric tail but she was surprised and disheartened to find that the tail was attached to the rubber heart by a piece of bungee cord running though both sections. This defeated her and so she walked away in disgust.... This underlined the manufacturer's warning - "supervised use only" - it is not suitable for very destructive chewers but is suitable for the average dog to have hours of fun with (particularly playing with the rubber heart).
PLEASE NOTE : This toy is not suitable for dogs that have a history of destroying toys and is not considered "indestructible". Supervise your dog during intial play. Inspect the toy regularly and replace if excessive damage is detected.
