Product Description
These long lines are ideal for many different situations -
Distance Control on "Off Lead" Walks
The most dangerous symptoms of Over (or Under) Stimulation is that dogs loose their ability to hear or see their handler's commands or signals when their excitement levels rise suddenly. They can also become disorientated and loose their ability to think straight, so that they may put themselves in danger (as explained in Precious' Story - Was it a Miracle?). This behaviour is due to the high levels of adrenaline pumping through their bodies.
These lines offer the handler the opportunity to let their dogs run "free" with the line dragging on the ground as the dog "Reads The Newspaper", while keeping overall control so that the dog cannot run off and get lost or hurt.
Fun Tracking & other types of Tracking
Whether you want to do Tuna Tracking, Gravy Tracking, or the more traditional tracking exercises such as following human or animal tracks, these light weight lines are an ideal way to keeping in touch with your dog.
Training
There are certain situations where a long line can be very useful to help your dog learn new exercises and training methods (eg. Agility or Obedience) so that you have some control over where the dog can "escape" too.
We strongly recommend that these lines be used with a well-fitted Harness (rather than a collar) so that the dog's neck is not damaged if the line suddenly becomes tight.
